To find the most effective way to stop smoking, researchers from the University of Iowa conducted a meta-analysis study, combining the results of more than 600 studies totaling nearly 72,000 people from Europe and America.
The results, which were published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, included 48 studies of hypnosis covering 6,000 smokers, clearly showed that hypnosis was the most effective treatment and was three times more effective than Nicotine Replacement.
