This recent review of our clinic highlights how powerful hypnotherapy can be for smoking cessation, particularly to stop smoking cannabis, which some people perceive to be a more difficult proposition.
As you can read below, this client had a longstanding 30-year cannabis habit, but also admitted being skeptical about hypnosis being effective.
Our hypnotherapists are skilled in explaining the process and answering any questions a client may have. The result of this is nearly always that any reservations or concerns held by the client do not grow into strongly-held ‘limiting beliefs’ and thus do not form an obstacle to the appointment being effective.
The effectiveness is clear for this particular client who has stopped for 4 months at time of writing and is confident of never going back to the old habit.
In addition, something we often see in our clinical experience, this client experienced a positive ‘knock-on’ effect from the hypnotherapy, namely a reduction in anxiety and related mental health issues. The experience of the in-session hypnotherapy combined with the regular use of additional ‘self hypnosis’ audio can often produce this type of positive ‘side effect’.
In this case, the improvement in these areas will almost certainly also be linked to the cessation of the cannabis itself and the breaking of the smoking habit.
